| RMProject |  | In February 2003 at "Tudengi Jazz" international jazz festival in Estonia, Roman presented his own new band: "RomanMIROШNIЧENKOProject." (RMProject). Enthusiastic public did not let musicians go off the stage and instead of the planned 40-minute performance, they had been playing for more than one hour. Now the band with tremendous success is giving concerts in the cities of Russia, the CIS and Europe playing average up to 150 gigs in one year. RMProject concerts are always sold out and it takes long for Roman to finish the concert since the public does not let him go off the stage and encores. People who came to Roman's concerts for the first time are used to become his devoted fans. Roman Miroshnichenko is one of the most prominent virtuosos in Russian contemporary jazz. WInner of the "9th Annual Independent Music Awards. Was nominated for and won both the regular and Peoples Choice popular vote judging. 10th Annual Independent Music Awards the Best World Beat album of year nominee His soaring career as an artist includes numerous awards from international jazz festivals and contests, as well as collaboration, performances and recordings with such world-renowned musicians as: Al Di Meola, Larry Coryell, Djivan Gasparyan, Frank Colon, Joao Donato, Marco Mendoza, Saskia Laroo, Richie Cole, Milcho Leviev, Augusto Enriquez to name a few. Roman's playing is characterized by bright melodies, clear improvisational thinking, ability to use multiple stylistics, rich technique and equal control over acoustic and electric versions of the instrument. Roman is an official Ovation Guitars, Paul Reed Smith guitars and D'Addario Strings artist. His guitar can be heard on numerous soundtracks for popular Russian and foreign TV series and movies and on the albums of Russian pop music stars and international projects. In 2002 Roman founded his own band RMProject that has been touring since then all across Russia, ex-USSR and European countries on regular basis. The band is a frequent visitor and headliner at many prestigious jazz festivals. Today, Roman Miroshnichenko is one of the leading fusion guitarists in the world, dexterously combining jazz, blues, Latin, African and Cuban rhythms, with the energy of funk and expressive flamenco style. | | Valery Tchernook (drums) |  | Born in 1969. At the begining of his career, Valery worked in Perm, and he wrote "Drums for Galactic" music for the theater of Evgeny Panfilov there. As a session drummer Valery took part in records and shows: Jessie Jones, Nilda Fernandes, Sergey Manukian, "Violin-Jazz", Theater of Stanislavski, Moscow Philarmonic Orchestra. Also Valery has recorded many tracks for movies and advertisments. | | Alex Boldirev (6-th string bass guitar) |  | Has been playing bass guitar since 70-th. He took part at many jazz festivals of Russia, Europe, Canada and USA including: "Downtown Du Maurier Jazz Festival" (Toronto), "Beaches International Jazz Festival" (Toronto), "Ottawa International Jazz Festival", "Bansko International Festival" (Bulgaria). Alex was working in Canada for a long time as a session bass player, composer and teacher of jazz improvisation in Toronto and Kingstone. He took part in recording joint albums with canadian and american musicians (Bob Mover, Rod Phillips, Chantal Thompson, Johnie Lovesin, Paul Storm, Jason Kenemy, Georgette, Richard Flannagan, David Rotundo, Julian Fauth), on the studios: "Chalet Studio", "Psichosound", "Summit Sound Inc". Now Alex is playing with a number of Moscow musicians. | | |
